An integrated approach combining artistic research, light, and spatial relationship

Kariné’s work begins with an encounter — with people and with the spaces they inhabit. Each project starts with an initial moment of listening and exchange, which can also take place remotely when necessary, without compromising the depth of the dialogue. Her dual background as an artist and interior designer allows her to conceive each path in relation to real lives, tangible environments, and everyday presence. Some journeys lead to the creation of a unique artwork; others remain an experience that clarifies, reorients, and transforms perception. She intentionally undertakes only a limited number of projects each year, as every work demands attention, balance, and a strong sense of responsibility.

An approach that brings together art, light, and space

Kariné’s artistic research is grounded in the idea that art does not exist in isolation, but finds its deepest meaning in dialogue with space, light, and everyday life. Each work is conceived as a living presence, capable of transforming its environment and accompanying those who inhabit it over time. This approach does not follow a decorative logic, but responds to a deeper intention: to make emotions, energies, and inner states visible through forms that engage with the context that receives them.

FROM EXPERIENCE TO FORM

Each work takes shape through a process of listening and transformation. Emotions, inner experiences, and moments of change are not represented in an illustrative way, but translated into visual structures through gesture, material, and color. Painting, understood as a space of experimentation and layering, forms the foundation of this research. It is the place where what is invisible finds its first possibility of manifestation, becoming form, light, and presence. From here, an artistic language develops that extends beyond the surface of the canvas, while maintaining a strong connection to inner experience.

The Artwork as Presence in Space

Kariné’s works are not conceived as isolated or purely ornamental elements. Each piece is designed in relation to the space that receives it, to natural light, and to the rhythms of everyday life. Space is not a neutral container, but an active part of the artistic experience. The artwork moves through it, alters it, and is in turn transformed by it, establishing a continuous dialogue between form, environment, and observer. Within this relationship, light, material, and movement become essential elements of the creative process.

ONE VISION, DIFFERENT LANGUAGES

The various ART PROJECTS represent different expressions of a shared vision, articulated through distinct materials and languages. In SOUL PORTRAIT, the focus is on inner life and individual identity, with dialogue becoming a fundamental element of the creative process. In the SPHERE works, the research extends into space and light, where transparency and color respond to the movement of the sun, allowing the piece to evolve throughout the day. In the CONTEMPORARY PAINTINGS, painterly material remains central. Layers, textures, and metallic elements give shape to an emotional and sensory investigation that underlies all other projects.

ART & INTERIOR DESIGN

Kariné’s international experience in interior design and curatorial practice has shaped a perspective attentive to proportion, light, and the relationship between elements within space. Years of work across diverse cultural contexts have refined a design sensitivity that now naturally informs her artistic research. This experience does not constitute a separate activity, but a transversal competence that allows each artwork to be conceived as part of a broader balance. When desired, this vision may extend into an interior design consultation, intended to accompany the artwork within its context and enhance its presence without altering the space.

DIALOGUE AS METHOD

Every project originates in dialogue and unfolds uniquely. Rather than standard solutions, each path is shaped in response to the identity of the space and its inhabitants. Kariné’s approach is rooted in attentive listening, transformation, and coherence, aiming to create works that foster an authentic and enduring connection with both space and people.
