S U T Y A G I N A - Biography

Kariné is the daughter of Sergo Sutyagin, a famous architect from Uzbekistan and Gala Sutyagina, the classical dancer. She enrolled at the Academy of Ballet in Taschkent and, at the same time, Karine expressed his artistic talent through personal exhibitions in which he exhibited his first paintings and drawings.

She graduated in 1993 from the Tashkent classical dance academy and enrolled in Benkov's artistic high school. The personal exhibition of the young painter was inaugurated during the same period, where her works were exhibited using oil, pastel and watercolor techniques.

In 1995 Kariné became assistant stage designer at Chekov's MХАТ theater in Moscow. Her theatrical work inspires the talented young painter to continue her studies in Italy, enrolling in the Scenography Course at the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome and graduating with the maximum of the votes.

In 2002 Kariné returns to Moscow and realizes her project, the theatrical curtain for the International House of Music, at the inauguration of which is President Vladimir Putin. In the period 2003-2005 he collaborates with the Agalarov family for Crocus City Mall:
- taking care of the creation of the first Champagne boutique Drappier Gallery
- covering the role of designer and curator of high fashion boutiques Cèline, Lanvin, Iceberg, Ungaro, Byblos and others
- developing the project of the first Café of the famous Swiss watch brand Café Franck Muller.

In 2006, by now a recognized designer, the design and construction of the Spa & Wellness Center at the Arthurs Spa Hotel (Moscow) ends, after which he returns to Italy and continues to work as an interior designer for Italy and the United Arab Emirates. In 2016 he presented the project for the façade of the Savitsky museum (Karakalpakstan).

The life and work experience gained in several countries contributed to give rise to a personal style of Karinè Sutyagina: this is how the "Eyes" series is born, original works of absolute novelty in contemporary art! The "Eyes" Spheres, made of plexiglass, enriched by different decorations and materials, are presented for the first time to the public on the EX DOGANA platform (Rome), where in 2016 the collective exhibition "Il Paradiso Inclinato" is organized ", edited by Luca Tomio, and presented by Achille Bonito Oliva.

Later the works were exhibited in Puglia, inside an evocative former convent of Dominican friars of the seventeenth century, alongside artists and photographers of the Italian contemporary art scene.

In 2017 Kariné participates in THE ARTBOX PROJECT BASEL 1.0, and in 2018 at ARTBOX PROJECT New York 1.0. Now a painter and designer she is experimenting with new styles of expression for new projects and already started works, combining in the whole experience, subtle perception of the creative process, original solutions and love for art.
